About Us
Dana and Ayden’s love story began at Cracker Barrel in July of 2020. At the time, Dana was looking for a job to start working toward her dream of flying, so she applied to a few places. Her best friend mentioned that a guy she went to middle school with worked at Cracker Barrel and was training to get his Private Pilot License. Dana figured she might as well apply there, too… I mean, what’s the worst that could happen?
After she got the job, Dana noticed Ayden right away. But instead of opening with some smooth pickup line, she bravely walked up to him and asked if he needed help getting biscuits. Yes… biscuits. Truly, the most romantic line ever spoken.
During their conversation, Dana casually brought up flying, pretending she had absolutely no idea he was training to be a pilot. (Very subtle, Dana.) That got Ayden interested (among a lot of other things), and from that day on, they started talking nonstop.
Soon they were constantly making each other laugh—texting all the time, playing GamePigeon, sending videos of themselves flying, singing, dancing, and probably annoying their coworkers just a little. What started as helping each other run food in the kitchen slowly turned into helping each other build a whole life together.
Fast forward a few years, and they’ve built a home together from the ground up, rescued two dogs who now run the place, and somehow upgraded from biscuit conversations to planning the rest of their lives together.
And honestly… it all started because Dana asked about biscuits.
